📣 PTO News! Our first PTO meeting is happening on Wednesday, September 4th at 5:30 PM in the Nash Library. We’d love for you to join us and be a part of the exciting things we have planned for our Lions this year! 🦁

🦁💛 Keeping Our Lions Healthy! 💛🦁 One of the best ways to stop the spread of germs is handwashing! Our nurse is reminding students daily to wash their hands before eating, after using the restroom, after recess, and any time they cough or sneeze. 🧼✨ We need your help at home, too! Please talk with your child about why washing hands is so important and encourage them to make it a regular habit. When we all work together—students, staff, and families—we can keep our school community healthy, happy, and ready to learn! 📚🌟 📌 Be sure to check out the flyer below for additional information on when children should be kept home to prevent spreading illness. Nuestra enfermera les recuerda a los estudiantes diariamente que se laven las manos antes de comer, después de ir al baño, después del recreo y cada vez que tosan o estornuden. ¡También necesitamos su ayuda en casa! Por favor, hablen con sus hijos sobre la importancia de lavarse las manos y anímenlos a convertirlo en un hábito. Cuando todos trabajamos juntos (estudiantes, personal y familias), ¡podemos mantener a nuestra comunidad escolar sana, feliz y lista para aprender! This year the sales of Pink Out t-shirts will be totally online! And, there's an option to purchase the sweatshirt version! Every year the Jr. High's National Junior Honor Society and 8th Grade Student Council students work together to raise money for cancer research benefiting St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the Cade Pearson Foundation.

This year, our Pink Out Carnival and Pep Rally will take place on Oct. 7th at the Jr. High. The High School will be having their Pink Out festivities on Oct. 10th. Either way, if you order a shirt, you can choose the option to pick it up at the store front in Crandall or have it shipped to you and receive it before either of these dates. The students and staff of O.P. Norman will be wearing the shirts on Oct. 7th!

**Requirements:**
- Attend a one-hour training session
- Complete a background check with KISD
- Commit to visiting your student for just 1 hour each week
