📚✨ Read Across America Week – March 2nd–6th! ✨📚
Our school is excited to celebrate Read Across America Week from March 2–6! This special week is all about inspiring a love of reading in fun, engaging ways for our students. We encourage all students and staff to participate in our themed dress-up days as we celebrate the joy and power of books!
Please note: Participation in dress-up days is completely optional. We hope many students will join the fun, but there is no requirement to participate.
Here’s what each day will look like:
🔴 Monday, March 2 – Dr. Seuss Day
Students may dress as their favorite Dr. Seuss character or wear red, white, and blue. Stripes, spots, and Seuss-style flair are welcome as we kick off the week!
🎩 Tuesday, March 3 – “Top Hat Tuesday”
Students can wear a silly, tall, striped, favorite, or homemade hat to school to show their Seuss spirit.
🎓 Wednesday, March 4 – “Oh, The Places You’ll Go”
Students are invited to dress for a future college or career to show how reading can take them anywhere!
🏈 Thursday, March 5 – “Team Up for Reading”
Wear your favorite team jersey or school spirit wear to show that reading is a team sport!
📖 Friday, March 6 – Storybook Character Day
Students may dress as a character from their favorite book and celebrate the magic of stories.
We can’t wait to see our students celebrate reading in creative ways all week long! Thank you for supporting literacy at home and helping us make this a fun and meaningful week for everyone.

Nash Elementary is ready for some football! Tomorrow, students may show their team pride by wearing a football jersey or football-themed shirt as we celebrate the Super Bowl together.
To keep the day fun, safe, and focused on learning, please follow these expectations:
Students MAY wear:
• A football jersey (NFL, college, high school, youth league, etc.)
• A football team t-shirt
• School colors with football spirit
Students may NOT wear:
• Helmets, pads, or costume accessories
• Footballs or props
• Anything that violates normal dress code expectations
This is a spirit wear opportunity — not a costume day. Students should still be dressed appropriately and ready for a full day of learning.
We can’t wait to see our Lions’ team spirit in the halls while we continue being champions in the classroom! 🦁🏆

We are so excited to welcome our scholars back today! If you are dropping off your child in the car rider line, please be patient as we work to ensure a safe and smooth arrival for all students.
To support student safety, the car rider line may move a bit slower than usual. We are asking parents to stop at the cafeteria doors rather than pulling all the way down for drop-off. We will have a staff member greet them and help them walk into the cafeteria safely.

- Tuesday (Wear Purple): Be kind to your teachers – thank a teacher

📚 100th Day of School – February 4 📚
We will recognize the 100th Day of School on February 4 as a learning milestone. Instruction will continue as normal.
Students will not dress like 100-year-olds or wear costumes. Participation should remain simple and school-appropriate, such as wearing a shirt with the number 100 or school spirit wear.
