Lions, it’s time to ROAR into Reading! 🦁 Our Beginning of Year MAP test starts first thing in the morning. This test doesn’t give grades — instead, it helps teachers see:
What your child already knows 📚
Where they may need extra support 🌟
How much they grow from now until the end of the year 🚀
🦁 Help your Lion ROAR:
R – Rest: A full night of sleep = sharper focus 😴
O – On Time: Be here bright and early so we can start strong ⏰
A – A Good Breakfast: Fuel up with something tasty to power their brain 🥞
R – Ready: Glasses, jacket, and a positive attitude 👓🧥✨
💡 What parents should know:
Testing kicks off in the morning, so being on time is super important.
Students take the test at their own pace — some may finish sooner than others.
MAP is just the starting line of their reading journey this year. It helps us celebrate growth all along the way! 🎉

This year the sales of Pink Out t-shirts will be totally online! And, there's an option to purchase the sweatshirt version! Every year the Jr. High's National Junior Honor Society and 8th Grade Student Council students work together to raise money for cancer research benefiting St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the Cade Pearson Foundation.
This year, our Pink Out Carnival and Pep Rally will take place on Oct. 7th at the Jr. High. The High School will be having their Pink Out festivities on Oct. 10th. Either way, if you order a shirt, you can choose the option to pick it up at the store front in Crandall or have it shipped to you and receive it before either of these dates. The students and staff of O.P. Norman will be wearing the shirts on Oct. 7th!
