Lucille Nash was born on November 6, 1901, and died on April 22, 1974. She graduated from Wills Point High School, Texas State College for Women, and Southern Methodist University and taught for 44 years. She taught history, economics, and civics.

Lucille Nash also served as a member of the Board of Education of Kaufman Independent School District. Our school was named in her honor in 1973. 

Lucille Nash Elementary School is a grade level campus, and is home to the First through Fifth Graders of Kaufman ISD.
