Lucille Nash

Lucille Nash was born on November 6, 1901, and died on April 22, 1974. She graduated from Wills Point High School, Texas State College for Women, and Southern Methodist University and taught for 44 years. She taught history, economics, and civics.

Lucille Nash also served as a member of the Board of Education of Kaufman Independent School District. Our school was named in her honor in 1973. 

Lucille Nash Intermediate School is a grade level campus, and is home to the Fifth and Sixth Graders of Kaufman ISD.

Lucille Nash Elementary serves grades 5-6 in the Kaufman Independent School District. We are located at 1002 South Houston Street, Kaufman, TX 75142.

Our mission is to provide each student with a warm and encouraging atmosphere in which they can reach their academic potential. Students are encouraged to work cooperatively and independently to solve problems and find solutions in all academic and areas.
