Graphic Design & Illustration is a Career and Technology course under the Arts/AV career cluster. Students learn industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Corel Painter. Each student has a laptop and Wacom Intuos graphics tablet available to create digital artworks. Students create portfolio websites to document creative and technical skills. Portfolio sites can then be used for college and/or job applications. GD&I students are learning to take traditional drawing and painting skills to the digital level, completing the class with skills appropriate for the workplace.
