The mission of the Kathy Mitchell Memorial Library is to assist our students and staff in becoming effective finders and users of ideas and information. The library provides services and materials that support the district and school curriculum, the teachers, and the individual needs and wants of students. The library strives to foster information literacy, promote growth in knowledge, and encourage a love of reading.
"The Kathy Mitchell Library"
Kathryn “Kathy” Mitchell taught Reading at Lucille Nash Intermediate School from 1989 until her untimely death in October of 2006. Kathy was an inspiration to her co-workers and her students. Her love of children, reading and her Christian beliefs and actions were evident in all her interactions with all people. She was our “shining star” who we know is continuing to watch over the students of Lucille Nash. The Nash library was named after her as she dedicated her life to teaching children the love of reading.
