Parents and Guardians/ Transitioning

Kaufman ISD and OP Norman Jr. High School deeply appreciate the sacrifices made by those who have served in the U.S. Military.

If you have a student who is currently attending or will be attending OP Norman Jr. High School, and you or the student's guardian have been enrolled in any branch of the U.S. Military, we invite you to fill out this form.

By providing this information, you help us better support both you and your student. Please contact our campus liaisons with any details or questions you may have.

After the form is filled out, military-connected students can look forward to:

  • Campus Tour: A guided tour led by one of our administrative or faculty liaisons, accompanied by a current KHS military-connected student.

  • Lunch Support: During lunch, new students will be joined by a campus liaison or a military-connected peer to answer questions and help them feel comfortable in their new environment.

For Parents:

  • You can expect a phone call or email from one of our campus liaisons welcoming you to the Lion Community. This is a great opportunity to discuss any needs or concerns you may have to ensure a smooth transition for your student.

We are excited to welcome you and your student to OP Norman Jr. High School and look forward to supporting you throughout your journey here.

Thank you for your service. We look forward to working with you to ensure a successful experience for your student at OP Norman Jr. High School.
