Robotics Team Advances to State Tournament

The Kaufman robotics team competed in the Dallas Hub of the B.E.S.T. Robotics local competition.

The team placed 3rd in the robot portion of the game and placed 1st in the BEST Award, for Overall Engineering.

The team will be competing in the small school UIL division at the state and regional tournament

The state and regional championships will be held at the Commerica Center in Frisco Texas, on December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

LDE Area Qualifying Teams

Our FFA LDE (Leadership Development Events) teams competed at our District competition in Crandall this past Monday.  The top 2 teams in each contest at the District level move on to Area.  We took 5 teams and 3 of those teams qualified for our Area contest which will be held on Nov. 16th at Bells HS.  The top 2 teams in each contest qualify for the state contest.

Area Qualifying teams include:

FFA Broadcasting: Sarah Barker, Quinn Hartley and Tori Preston placed 1st

Job Interview: Kimberly Beckendorf, placed 2nd, Greenhand Creed, Claire Corder, placed 1st

Greenhand Quiz: Hayden Arrington, Jaela Jones, Ryleigh Toliver and Tatum Todd, placed 4th and missed qualifying by only 4 points.

Senior Quiz: Eileen Faz, Paige Fouser, Marili Paz and Brandi Wyatt, placed 10th

Little Women the Musical

Kaufman Theatre Company is proud to present our first production of the 2022-2023 school year, Little Women the Musical! This timeless, captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache, hope and everlasting love.

Performances are Saturday November 12th @ 7 PM, Sunday November 13th @ 2 PM, and Monday, November 14th @ 7 PM. Tickets are $15 for Adults and $10 for Students. Tickets may be purchased online at our new website www.KaufmanTheatreCompany.com, or they can be purchased at the door on the day of the show.

Please note that if you purchase your ticket online, you will be able to select your specific seat(s)!  If you purchase your ticket at the door, you will be assigned the best available seat for that performance.

All-Region Choir Rehearsal

Congratulations to Rachel, Caleb, Esabelle, Dani, and Michelle on a job well done representing the Kaufman High School Choir at the All-Region Choir Rehearsal in Dallas!

A special congratulations to Rachel, who as of last night qualified for the all-region choir after being brought up from the alternate spot!

Kaufman FFA has gotten off to a great start in the field of Ag Mechanics!

Kimberly Beckondorf built and exhibited a round propane fire pit at both the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo and the State Fair of Texas; receiving a blue ribbon at the State Fair and placing first in her class at the Heart of Texas!

Alejandro Castillo impressed everyone that walked by at the Heart of Texas with the outdoor propane griddle he built and received a blue ribbon at the State Fair!!!

Katie Jouett received a blue ribbon in a very tough class at the State Fair for her stock show feed pan hanger!

Way to go, FFA!

Lil Lionettes Dance Clinic

Lil Lionettes Dance Clinic 

The KHS Lionettes are hosting a dance clinic in the studio and will teach the Lil’ Lionettes victory lines and stand routines for the football game on Friday, October 21, 2022. Lil’ Lionettes are invited to perform victory lines during pre-game and sit with the Lionettes during the first half of the game.

Clinic Info:

  • Dance Clinic for 4 years old thru 6th grade
  • Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Kaufman High School Dance Studio
  • Cost is $30.00 per child and will include the clinic, a shirt, a snack, and a craft.
  • Please make checks or money orders payable to “Lionette Booster Club”.
  • Cash will be accepted on the day of the clinic.

Congratulations Mason Quinn!

Mason Quinn was the winner of Class 1 Medium wool Market Lambs at the State Fair of Texas. The medium wool breed is the toughest breed of market lambs in the State of Texas. There were 39 other sheep in his class. Winning that class qualified him for the Premium Auction for the market animals. Way to go, Mason!
