Helen Edwards ECC Pre-K and Kindergarten Enrollment


Kickoff is April 23, 2020

There is nothing more exciting then registering your child for school!  It is important to us that you and your child have a special and unforgettable experience at Helen Edwards ECC!  We will begin that journey by registering your child in a manner that is safe and complies with social distancing. Registration for Helen Edwards will open next week starting Thursday, April 23rd, and will continue throughout the summer. You will be able to register either on-line or by phone; whichever one feels more comfortable for you. Registration will only be opened for pre-k or kindergarten students at this time. Older students will not be able to register until a later date. After you register (either online or by phone), a staff member from Helen Edwards will contact you within one to two weeks to follow-up and finalize your registration. We are looking forward to next year and having your child with us at Helen Edwards!

 

2020-2021 Kindergarten Round-Up

Skyward Family Access Enrollment 

In addition to basic information about your child, please be prepared to upload copies of the following documents:
 
  • Certified Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Immunization Records (updated)
  • Social Security Card (Optional)
  • Parent Identification of Enrolling Parent
  • Proof of Residency (Gas, Water or Light bill.If you do not have any of these bills in your name or live with a family member you will need to fill out this Proof of Residency Form.

Parents will receive a confirmation phone call from a staff member within one to two weeks to confirm documentation. Please note, enrollment is not complete until the documentation is reviewed and processed by District staff. The majority of submissions will be processed April 27th – May 8th, but submissions will continue to be processed throughout the spring and into the summer in the order in which they were received.

2020-2021 Pre-K Round –Up


 

Parents of students who live in Kaufman ISD and will be four years of age or older on or before September 1, 2020, AND qualifies under one of the following areas:
  • Documentation of foster care
  • Documentation of Star of Texas Award
  • Documentation of military service (Acceptable documents include a statement of service or official letter from a commander.  DO NOT attach copies of US Department of Defense IDs)
  • Proof of income (Acceptable documents include most recent paystub or unemployment, Worker’s Compensation or Disability payment stub. If you do not have any income at this time, please download and upload this completed form. - No Income Form)
  • Unable to speak or comprehend the English language.  (An oral language proficiency test will be administered at a later date to determine eligibility)
  • Homeless
