 Dr. Joshua Garcia, Superintendent
 
Dr. Garcia is a dedicated and accomplished educator with a strong commitment to Texas public schools. With a career spanning 25 years, Dr. Garcia's journey began by serving his country in the United States Navy before serving as an
ordained minister in various Texas churches. As an educator, Dr. Garcia has held various positions, including classroom teacher, assistant principal, elementary principal, middle school principal, high school principal, Director, Executive Director, and Superintendent of Schools.

In his most recent position as the Superintendent of Schools for Rockport-Fulton ISD, formerly Aransas County ISD, he successfully led the district through a comprehensive long-range facilities master planning process resulting in the passage of a $66 million dollar facilities bond. Furthermore, the district achieved an academic & "B" rating, increased the fund balance, and expanded college and career pathway opportunities for students.
 
Recently appointed as the Superintendent of Kaufman ISD, Dr. Garcia's vision aligns with the district's focus on Preparation, Purpose, and Pride. He strongly believes in equipping students with the tools necessary for post-secondary success through the expansion of college and career pathways. Dr. Garcia possesses extensive expertise in curriculum audit standards, instruction, assessment, and the core processes that foster student achievement.

Dr. Garcia's academic accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Middle Tennessee State University, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Doctor of Education from Dallas Baptist University.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Garcia actively participates in his communities through various civic organizations. He is a member of the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Education Foundations, and Economic Development Corporations. Additionally, Dr. Garcia dedicates his time to volunteering in local churches.

Family plays a significant role in Dr. Garcia's life. He is happily married to Olga Garcia, a classroom teacher in Kaufman ISD. Together, they have a son, Caleb, who proudly serves as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Caleb and his wife, Avi, eagerly anticipate their first child's arrival this fall. In addition, Dr. Garcia's two daughters, Michaela and Kristen, are currently enrolled at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Michaela is pursuing a degree in nursing, while Kristen is majoring in marketing.
