Kaufman ISD has been awarded the Gold Leadership Circle Award for financial transparency by the Texas Comptroller’s office. The “GOLD” designation is the Comptroller’s highest ranking and is reserved for local governments “that are striving to meet a high standard for financial transparency online,” according the Comptroller’s Web site, located at http://comptroller.texas.gov/.
According to Dr. Lori Blaylock, Superintendent of Schools, “Financial transparency in public school spending allows taxpayers to see exactly where their money is being spent.
