Homework Homework will be assigned every night except Friday.  Students are expected to complete all assigned work.  Assignments will be made in class and time given to start and usually complete before class time is over. If your child did not complete the assigned work, it must be finished at home.  Check the student handbook for the district policy pertaining to missed homework assignments and grades.  If their work is not finished when class begins the next day, they will have detention at noon recess or assigned Saturday School.  It is essential that your child keep up with assignments daily and that they ask questions if they don't understand.  Each student will have a weekly assignment sheet that they must fill in and keep current. I will work with each student and their parents anyway I can to help ensure their development this year.  However, homework completion is the student's responsibility!  I am available every day during my conference time, which will be 11:40-12:30, please call the office to set up a conference if you feel one is needed.  I can meet you early or late if necessary also.  If none of these options work for you please call and we can have a phone conference.  Your child's progress is vitally important to all of us -  they can't slip thru the cracks, we must plug those holes.  We will work every day until it is time to go home, so please don't come after your child early.  Every minute of instruction with the teacher is important and that class time can't be made up.
