Teaching Experience: I am beginning my fifteenth year of teaching and this is my fourth year at O.P. Norman Junior High.
Education: I received my Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, OK, in 1993.
Special Olypmics: Students in the Life Skills classes are encouraged to participate in Special Olympics. We will be doing a fund raiser each semester to help with expenses. Kaufman will host a Special Olympics Meet on April 2, 2008. Students are currently practicing bowling in order to get ready for competition on Oct. 29, 2007.
Aides: Much of the success in the Life Skills classes can be attributed to the dedication and hard work of Ms. Martha Hill and Mr. Dave Booker who work hand-in-hand with Mr. Matthews.
T-Shirts: Mr. Matthews' students will be able to purchase T-shirts for $10 each. The students are encouraged to wear their shirts on Spirit Days. Sizes and money should be turned in to Mr. Matthews by Oct. 5, 2007.
