A bit more about me
I was born in Dallas, Texas in 1983. I have lived in the Combine/Crandall area since I was 2 years old. I attended Crandall schools and graduated from their high school in 2001. I attended Trinity Valley Community College in Terrell for a year and a half and then transferred into Sam Houston State University, where I realized I had a strong desire to be an educator. I originally was a Math major, but then something happened to the math part of my brain and I lost it. I then focused on English, which was always interesting and informative to me. I graduated, taught a little bit, and relocated to Kaufman High School. My second year at KHS I was asked to take on the daunting task of teaching AP English Language & Composition and English I Pre-AP. I enjoyed it thoroughly and hope to continue to have success and gain success each
and every year. I love it here and enjoy teaching my students every single day. Kaufman is a great school and I hope to do my part to make it even greater.
I also was the middle school spelling bee champion for Crandall when I was in 5th grade! I am the self-proclaimed Monopoly champion of the greater Dallas area, soon to be state of Texas champion.
